Zion Church Szeged Zoo Outing!

We had a beautiful April spring weekend here - long awaited! - and invited Zion Church friends for a trip to the Szeged Zoo. There were 16 of us who enjoyed the walk and the animals - pictured are the big lions, newborn baby goat, guinea pigs in petting zoo, and a red panda. The kids also had fun playing on the zoo playground.

We had a great visit from Chet, our CRM International Director, and son Ryan in mid-March. Our time included meetings in Novi Sad with ministry partners Laki, Rodja and others at the Novi Sad Seminary as well as the opening of a new Bible Training Center. We went to our favorite Petrovaradin Castle Hill Italian restaurant Terasa twice. Back in Szeged for a day we had nice weather for a walk through downtown Szeged together with the whole George family.

Hannah's New Bike!

In March Hannah graduated to a new bike, to full-size like her sister Sarah! It is an early 9-year birthday present. Hannah has grown so much over the past year that I couldn't wait until August and her birthday. Now she can ride much faster on her 6-speed, and she rode proudly with me through the neighborhood!

Zion Church Children's Event

The Zion Church continues to reach young kids with fun outreach events. This winter one of the elders, Szilveszter, started a new monthly series, walking thru the Nehemiah story - hard hat and all for rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem! Our girls are now old enough that they help the younger kids get involved and play the games. Pastor Botond is always great on guitar!
